She is also the author of Family First: Winning the Parenting Game, a book highlighting the seven principles of parenting. Through her work with the James Jordan Foundation in Chicago, Illinois, as well as the Jordan Institute for Families at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Mrs. Jordan is widely regarded as an advocate for children and families. The mother of five children and the grandmother of eleven, Mrs. Jordan lives in Chicago.Roslyn M. I had no idea what "salt in his shoes was" lol Bad mom!! I typed it in amazom and i was soooo suprised it was a book. MY SON AUCTUALLY WANTED A BOOK???? YES!!!!!.. so I ordered it. anything that will distract him from fortnite. Plzzz... im going crazy, no more fortnite! we read this all the time. Its a pretty good book too. Hes 7 hope this helps
I love books that peak my 5 year old's interest. He loves basketball. What better way to get him to read than to get him a book about one of the greatest players to ever play the game. The book is very cute and the illustrations are great and perfect for any age kid. My 12 year old loves reading it to him. Perfect!
We love this book- of course, we're children of the MJ era, so I love reading about his childhood (however accurate it may be), but the story overall is great for kids - emphasizing hard work and patience for success. Very encouraging, uplifting story that's also a lot of fun. Very appropriate for 3-4 year old level, up through older kids who will understand some of the underlying messages more clearly. Great illustrations, as well.
My whole family loves this story. The illustrations are beautiful. The message is great. The ending leaves you feeling really optimistic, powerful, and warm & fuzzy inside. Great book. Beautiful story. Highly recommend!
