A great book to have OR TO GIVE...the promise stories in Alex Sheen's book are worth sharing! Alex is a natural story teller with a great sense of honor and humor. A MUST FOR A PERSONAL LIBRARY OR AS A COFFEE TABLE BOOK...or just when you need a quick refresher on the best of humanity. I have purchased a few dozen of Alex's books recently to give as gifts to deserving and inspiring people I meet this upcoming year. Hopefully, this is just Volume 1...looking forward to many more of these in the future. Well done, Alex.
The kindle format is not legible as pictures and words become meshed and is not able to be read
Nothing to do with actual content but the formatting of the Kindle edition is poor. The photos are mostly cut off. The photos that are there are on top of the text so you cannot read it.
Some of these stories were hard to read, but not because of the style. It was the sheer emotional depth of each tale that made my heart wrench. Others filled me laughter and a distinct joy that is certainly in part due to the author's conversational tone. I could relate to almost every story and every promise made. This book will be one I pick up for years to come when I need a little motivation to keep my own promises. I truly hope there will be a sequel, I can only imagine what intriguing and captivating stories are yet to be told!
This book is an amazing grouping of stories from a movement that is changing our world. Alex started this and he is really teaching the world one person at a time, how to be a better person, better society and better community. Thank you for writing this and sharing your story and journey.
The author tells the promise stories in the book in the same way as he does in person. He has brought the original promise stories to life in this book as passionately as he does in his talks. If you have heard him speak, whether in TEDx or in the numerous in-person speaking engagements he has done, you will know what I mean.I have bought both Kindle and hardcover book formats. I recommend the hardcover book because it is very well put together and makes a presentable gift. I would avoid the Kindle format for now till the formatting is fixed.

The Because I said I would movement isn’t one that I had heard about before, however it is one that I would definitely support! The book was very touching. The kindle version is difficult to read, though. Definitely go to the website and find out more!
